Nanjng Museum

6/30

Post is out of chronological order because I had trouble uploading pictures through my VPN.

Went to Nanjing museum. It was intense to see the brutality of the Japanese. I will warn you the pictures can be disturbing, look at your own risk. I would recommend it to anyone visiting this part of China though. For those not familiar with the event. The Japanese indvaded China and captured Nanjing the former capital of China. On December 13th, 1937, the "Rape of Nanjing" started. For 6 weeks they raped and pillaged the village. "Kill all, loot all, rape all." 300,000 people where killed and maybe more since many bodies were never found. It works out to one every 12 seconds. To put it in perspective it takes about 12 seconds for a raundrop to fall to the ground. Some of those killed where not Chinese but foreigners attempting to provide humanitarian care.
